Web based, simple, helpful : Smibs Doorbell

We won’t make a habit of covering other startups here on Get audience, get going but today we wanted to help bring some attention to a new startup from Canada ran buy a friend of mine Peter Urban.

Smibs build product for businesses to grow smarter. Their main product now is called Doorbell and is a task management and contact management tool aimed at making the sales process easy for non-sales companies. SocialDreamium has to sell services (and soon products) but we don’t plan to recruit sales people, so Doorbell is perfect for us. Doorbell can easily assume contacts from Outlook for VCard (I’m looking into Google contacts now).

I really like what Peter is building because its obviously web-based, its very simple to use, and it helps us get things done. Always our focus, action=accomplishment.

We’ve been using Doorbell for about a month now but today Smibs opened its private beta to the public. Doorbell competes with 37signals Highrise product and I think they have a great shot. The industry is small and their is plenty of room for two business to flourish. Check out what TechCrunch had to say about it and then go sign up!

I think that Smibs is aimed and focused on a very good market and knowing Peter they have ridiculous potential to compete with power players like 37signals. SocialDreamium supports you!
